DESIGNING miniature clay art is relatively new in Malaysia. Open to the public aged 15 and above, the Malaysian Institute of Art aims to encourage the love for arts among youngsters.
Promotion and marketing senior executive Ben Wang said the institute carries out one-day workshops on two Saturdays a month for two to four hours.
“We want them to develop their skills by doing something beneficial instead of wasting their time.
“Participants will be introduced to the type of clay used, techniques to design and colour the art. Students can earn a living by becoming entrepreneurs within the field,” he said.
Students check out the intricate art at the institution’s booth at the Star Educaton Fair 2018.
